5 Best Workouts on ClassPass Seattle (East Side)

There are two types of people in this world: those who sign up for CrossFit or a gym and do the same workout at the same time every day for 5 years, and then there is me. I LOVE trying new workouts and keeping things interesting. I'll typically stay at one place for around three months and then look for a new place to try. So when ClassPass came to town I was pumped.

So how does it work? You pay around $90/month for access to gyms all around Seattle. You can go to each gym three times, up to ten classes per month. After that, you can pay around $10 for each additional class. Which is a huge steal considering most classes in Seattle are $20-$30 each!

After you sign up, knowing which gym to try first can be overwhelming. But don't worry, I've done the dirty work for you. Below are the 5 best gyms I've discovered on ClassPass Seattle... the East Side that is!

1. Baseline Fitness - Downtown Kirkland & Capital Hill

If you're looking to leave class dripping in sweat this is the class for you. They have two classes, Lean & Mashup. Lean is similar to Orange Theory in that it's a 50/50 split of treadmill cardio and circuit training, focusing on different muscle groups throughout the week. Mashup is allll about the cardio, rotating from spin bikes, Woodway treadmills, arm cranks and rowers. The room is dark, the music is loud and the instructors are bomb.

2. Sweat Equity - Downtown Bellevue

This gym makes the list for two reasons. A) Everyone who goes regularly is super ripped (i.e., the workout works!) and B) The people are so nice. You walk in as the newbie and feel completely welcomed. It's circuit based training, some days total body, others cardio and muscle-group focused. Screens in the corners of the room tell you the moves in each round, and include a timer telling you when to switch to the next round. I have to say, it was a little bit confusing the first couple times I went. But they are so helpful and the people in your group help you along the way too. The studio is beautiful and clean, and they just really have their crap together!

3. Be One Yoga - North Kirkland

Three words: cold lavender towels. This quaint hot yoga studio in north Kirkland has great teachers and nice facilities. The best part though? As you're laying in a pool of your own sweat in shivasina, the instructor hands you a cold, lavender scented towel for your face. It's heavenly and makes the one hour sweat sesh 100% worth it after a grueling day at work.

4. Hot Yoga Experience - Issaquah & Redmond

I started going to this studio when I first moved to Seattle. It's clean, professional and the flow is always on point. If you're on the East side, definitely give it a try.

5. Fly Fitness - Kirkland

This studio is right on the water in Kirkland at Carillon point. The studio is adorable and the instructors are so sweet. They offer barre, spin, boxing, circuit training and more. In the summer, they even do "Rock the Dock," a spin class right on the water! This class in particular isn't on ClassPass, but it's totally worth the extra funds.
